Filled your Nth bag with cans and dreading the recycling center? No worries. Do good for the environment and your neighbors. Let Bike Newton pick them up - by bike, of course! Redeemable aluminum cans and plastic bottles are welcomed. Proceeds will go to the Newton Food Pantry, where Bike Newton already delivers surplus food (yes, by bike).Send email to nathan@bu.edu with the subject "bike for food"; include the address, and where the bag(s) will be located on your premises. Pick up will usually occur on Saturday or Sundays, and some Wednesday mornings.

I love this idea. someday when I have more free time I'd love to deliver food by bike- load up the sorte I could move a lot of food....
