Lots of street paint on Beacon Street - for walking, drinking, water quality. How about some bike markings?

Here are a few of the markings I see on my commute in the "bike lane" on Beacon Street between BC and Chestnut Street. With the recent approval of a bike lane from the Boston-Newton city line to the top of the hill, it seems like the chances to get proper bike markings in the rest of Beacon Street can't be too far off!
